Gisela Casimiro and Pedro Barateiro Postponed until further notice Audre Lorde Good Mirrors Are Not Cheap It is a waste of time hating a mirror or its reflection instead of stopping the hand that makes glass with distortions slight enough to pass unnoticed until one day you peer into your face under a merciless white light and the fault in a mirror slaps back becoming what you think is the shape of your error and if I am beside that self you destroy me or if you can see the mirror is lying you shatter the glass choosing another blindness and slashed helpless hands. Because at the same time down the street a glassmaker is grinning turning out new mirrors that lie selling us new clowns at cut rate. |
Audre Lorde Os Bons Espelhos Não São Baratos É uma perda de tempo odiar um espelho ou o seu reflexo em vez de parar a mão que faz o vidro ter distorções ligeiras o suficiente para se atravessar sem se notar até ao dia em que o teu companheiro na tua cara sobre uma luz branca sem compaixão e a falha no espelho devolve o estalo tornando-se aquilo que tu pensas ser a forma do teu erro e se eu estiver ao lado desse ser tu destróis-me ou se conseguires ver que o espelho mente partes o vidro escolhendo outra cegueira e mãos despedaçadas. Porque ao mesmo tempo ao fundo da rua um vidreiro está a moer tornando novos os espelhos que mentem vendendo-nos como novos palhaços com desconto. |
